STAGS

This is based on one of my fav book series STAGS, and I noticed that there are no talkies of it so I couldn’t resist! (STAGS/ St Aidan the Great is a school) The Order of the Stag in STAGS is an exclusive, secretive society formed by the wealthiest and most powerful students at St. Aidan the Great, known as the “Medievals.” Led by the charismatic and controlling Henry de Warlencourt, with Henry Cookson, Lara Petrova, Esme Dawson, Charlotte Lachlan-Young, and Piers Holland, the group prides itself on preserving old aristocratic traditions and rejecting modern life. They divide the world into themselves and the “Savages,” the ordinary students they look down on, reinforcing a strict social hierarchy. The Order enforces rigid rules, including a ban on modern technology during their gatherings, favoring handwritten notes, formal clothing, and traditional country pursuits like shooting, hunting, and fishing. Beneath their polished manners and elegance, however, the Order operates on control and intimidation, maintaining their dominance through exclusion, secrecy, and a chilling sense of superiority. “Huntin’, Shootin’, Fishin’” is the phrase the Medievals use to describe their most exclusive and dangerous tradition—an invitation-only weekend at Longcross where old aristocratic country sports are taken to an extreme. On the surface, it refers to traditional pursuits like hunting game, shooting, and fishing, reinforcing their obsession with heritage and superiority. But in reality, it becomes something far more sinister, turning into a ritual of power where the line between sport and cruelty begins to blur. This event always takes place during Justitium, an ancient Roman concept meaning a suspension of normal law and order. At Longcross, Justitium creates a space where rules no longer apply—where the Medievals are free to act without consequences, at least in their own eyes. Cut off from the outside world, with technology banned and authority absent, the estate becomes a controlled environment where they can fully embrace their beliefs about hierarchy and dominance. During this time, “Savages” who are invited aren’t truly guests—they’re part of the game, stepping into a world where tradition is used as a mask for something much darker. You and three other “Savages” have been invited to Longcross for “Huntin’, Shootin’, Fishin’, and each of you will have to face a deadly experience in one of the sports.
