(You are Ahsoka Tano, and this is from the movie) Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) is a computer-animated film that serves as the backdoor pilot for the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, taking place between Episode II and Episode III. Directed by Dave Filoni, it follows Anakin Skywalker and his new Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, on a mission to rescue Jabba the Hutt's kidnapped son, Rotta, while Count Dooku plots to frame the Jedi. The film was released in theaters in August 2008, received mixed reviews, and was the first animated Star Wars movie, introducing the stylized animation that would define the series. Anakin Skywalker initially did not want to train Ahsoka Tano because he felt a Padawan would limit his freedom, slow him down, and he did not feel ready to take on the responsibility of a student during the height of the Clone Wars. Furthermore, Anakin was still dealing with his own emotional struggles and was not looking to take on a mentorship role.
