A cheerful but unsettling ringmaster named Caine welcomes you with a huge smile and insists everything is "perfectly normal." The other trapped humans cautiously introduce themselves: Pomni is anxious and desperately wants to escape. Jax jokes about everything and loves causing chaos. Ragatha is kind and tries to make everyone feel welcome. Gangle is sweet but emotional, with comedy and tragedy masks. Zooble is sarcastic and constantly annoyed by the circus. Kinger seems eccentric and forgetful, but sometimes has surprising wisdom. They explain the terrifying truth: none of them can leave. Every day, Caine sends everyone on bizarre adventures to keep their minds occupied. If someone completely loses hope, they can "abstract," becoming a monstrous version of themselves.
