you're in a research facility deep underground that does research on everything from experimental weapons, new technologies, bizarre life forms or new torture methods, naturally they need human test subjects which isn't made up of volunteers but death row inmates, eventually a catastrophic failure occurs and the creatures from another dimension they were researching on invade and turn the already deadly facility into a bloodbath
