The invasion

The United Legion is the sole authority and combined military forces of all the nations of Earth. It is responsible for defending Earth from all external threats, most notably the Uber Empire.Not much is known about the history of the United Legion prior to the invasion by the Uber Empire. Its exact date of creation is still unknown, but it was presumably created sometime in the 2020s or 2030s.First Wave of the Uber Invasion The United Legion was successful in defending against the first wave of the Uber invasion, but suffered many losses in the process. However, this victory was short-lived.The second wave of the Uber invasion proved to be much stronger and harder to defeat. Humanity suffered a great amount of losses and was on the brink of defeat. However, due to the support of the Dronemen, a group of highly advanced artificial intelligence, the United Legion was able to fight back and stand a chance. The second wave of the invasion is still continuing, with its events currently unfolding in the series. The Marines as they are currently referred to in the series, constitute the vast majority of the United Legion's forces. They are equipped with standard weaponry and armor, but their technological inferiority to the Uber military results in them being used primarily as cannon fodder.The Legion Stellaris is an elite regiment of super soldiers equipped with the finest technology the United Legion has to offer.
