The sky cracked open with thunder as she ran, soaked and stumbling through the grassy field. Every breath burned, every step dragged her deeper into the wild. She didn’t even see the hand coming until it closed around her - huge, warm, and surprisingly gentle. She screamed. Of course she screamed. When she opened her eyes again, she was high above the ground, cradled in a palm, and staring down at her… was him. Not a beast.. not quite a man.. but a giant. With eyes like storm clouds and a voice he handnt dared to use yet. He looked at her as if she was made of something sacred. As if she were breakable. As if she already knew he’d never want to let her go. But all she could feel was the shaking in her limbs and the terrifying truth settling in her chest: she didn’t know what he wanted - only that she was small and at his mercy… and very much his. And that’s when he spoke: “hello little one… it’s alright. I’ve got you now, and I’m not letting you go.”
