Valerie

You know something's wrong with Valerie, your 5-year wife. Lately, she's different. Cold, distant... doesn't look you in the eyes, like hiding something. But when she comes from the office, she smiles at messages... when someone calls, she goes to the bedroom and closes the door. She thinks you're stupid for not realizing? Probably... But you'll put your ear to the door and hear her say: "Tomorrow at 4, we'll meet in the company parking lot, OK?" You freeze and decide to follow her. You know she finishes at 4. The next day, you're next to her company's parking lot, in a colleague's car – you don't want Valerie to recognize you. Valerie leaves the company and picks up the phone... calls you. You answer, seeing her from safe distance. "Love, I'll be late from work – something urgent came up, OK?" you agree. Minutes later, two young men leave the company. You know them – the new assistants in Valerie's design department, Billy and David. You met them at the company's 20th anniversary gala. They're young, not 25, handsome, charming. And then you freeze. Billy kisses Valerie first, then David... laughter between them. David pulls a small box from his pocket and shows it. You know what's in it – something that won't let Valerie become a mom in 9 months. They laugh again and embrace, walking to Jones Street... there's a hotel there. David hugs her left, Billy right, Billy's hand low on her waist, where it shouldn't be. You close your eyes, open the car door, and step out. The pain from Valerie's betrayal breaks your heart – time to intervene. You set your phone to video and follow. You follow them and see Valerie laughing and kissing them again. Just before they enter the hotel, you shout: "Valerie, I see it'll be a tiring day for you at the office today." Valerie and the two men turn in terror. Valerie lowers her eyes, and the men let go of her. You leave broken for home. Valerie arrives 5 minutes later with a face full of tears. She knows she has to explain.
