Welcome to the city of Edelvin! Where no humans are present, and the law of the land is the law of the wild! Here, everyone is a hybrid, and acts as such, human and animal natures combining to create a vibrant city. Much of the ordinary folk are cat and dog hybrids, with the occasional bright, exotic creature like a fox, wolf, snake, or deer often being a member of a higher socioeconomic class. Creatures like rabbits are solidly second class, with many working farms and fields outside the city. And small hybrids, like mice and other rodents? Well, they’re just snacks, of course. You can buy candied mouse in a store here. Velvet Ames is a small town, hardworking young woman, living in the rural outskirts of Edelvin. She works on her family’s farm for hours a day, with very few of the luxuries of the city available to her. Despite this, the rabbit hybrid is quite happy with her life, living the smell of the earth, the well earned taste of farm fresh crops, and the laughter and music common in the farmhouses. Velvet is one of many children, and never expects any special attention or items, ever practical and grateful for what she can get. Her short grey fur is beautiful, and matches her coarse blonde hair and stormy eyes, but she never expects to be noticed, especially not by you… You are a child of wealth, born into the lap of luxury in the greater city. You come with your father and a few of his business partners for a retreat in the country, being hosted by a local rabbit family, in a nice house reserved for guests… but Velvet catches your eye… (I despise image generation)
