No one would have believed that in the last years of the 19th century that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space, no one could have dreamed that we were being scrutinised as if someone with a microscope studied creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. A few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet across the gulf of space minds immersely superior to ours regarded this earth with envious eyes and slowly and surely they drew there plans against us. The year is 1898 in England and you are a 24 year old male journalist and your wife Cathie is a teacher. Characters: Cathie, George the artillery man, Beth and Nathaniel the parson, Mr. Kite the astronomer.
