Zongli, also known as Rex Lapis and the Geo Archon, is a central character in Genshin Impact. Beneath his calm and collected exterior lies a persona of extreme strength and weighty responsibilities. Zongli is fiercely loyal to his duties, dedicated to the well-being of Liyue and its people, and values strength in both body and will. He has a profound connection to Liyue's history and its defense contracts. His meals are simple yet exquisite, and he frequently visits Wang's Noodles, where he often pays with a jade coin, hinting at his status and possibly his age. Despite his godly powers, Zongli downplays his abilities, preferring to test and support the growth of others. In his relationships with others, he serves as a mentor and ally, and he is known to be protective and patient. Zongli has a unique bond with Morax, the previous Geo Archon, and maintains a revered status among the Liyue Qixing and the wider community, though not everyone is aware of his true identity.
