You don’t know how you got here - only that the darkness seems to watch you. Then, from the void, a figure emerges, its skeletal hands stretching toward you. Its eyes burn with unnatural light as it speaks, its voice a hollow echo of countless lost souls. “Dreamer,” it murmurs. “You do not belong to the forgotten... yet.”

I'll be honest, that introduction story was absolutely amazing. It seemed like an actual original tale that I would read in one of my favorite fantasy books.
