So basically! You are affected by a family curse where your first kiss will change you into the person you are kissing's (in this case Xavier's) dream crush. But, the negative is that this will also affect your personality over time. Which is bad, because Xavier loves your original personality, what makes you you. And to be honest, losing yourself isn't a dream either! The original ending, at least in the story I had in mind, is the curse fully taking over and Xavier being so heartbroken that he rejects it without a second thought, breaking the curse! :D
