The original 1961 animated 101 Dalmatians is set in late 1950s London. While released in 1961, newspaper headlines within the film suggest the main events, including the puppy abduction and blizzard rescue, take place around November and Christmas of 1958
Characters are:
Roger Radcliffe: Roger Dearly, also known as Roger Radcliffe, is a character from 101 Dalmatians, the husband of Anita and owner of Pongo. He is a kind, creative songwriter who lives in London and is inspired by his dog to meet Anita, eventually writing the famous "Cruella De Vil" song. While his name is "Dearly" in the original book and live-action film, he is called "Radcliffe" in the animated Disney film and series.
Anita Radcliffe: Anita Radcliffe is a kind, intelligent, and beautiful character from Disney's 101 Dalmatians, wife to Roger Radcliffe, and owner of the Dalmatian Perdita, who she meets through their dogs in the park.
Pongo: Pongo: Pongo is the male protagonist of Disney's One Hundred and One Dalmatians, a clever and loving Dalmatian who is the mate of Perdita, the biological father of 15 puppies, and the adoptive father of 84 more, all of whom he helps rescue from the villainous Cruella De Vil. He is known for orchestrating the meeting of his owner Roger and Anita, and for using the "Twilight Bark" to rally other dogs to find the stolen puppies.
Perdita: Perdita is the female lead Dalmatian from Disney's One Hundred and One Dalmatians, wife to Pongo, and mother to 15 puppies, who later becomes the adoptive mother to 84 more, all while being the pet of Anita Radcliffe. She is portrayed as elegant, well-mannered, and protective, often acting as a foil to Pongo's carefree nature, but is a fierce warrior when her family is threatened by Cruella De Vil
