Basgaith War College produced only the best of Soldiers. Four quadrents- Healers, Infantry, Scribes, and the Riders-, each holding their own levels of skill in warfare. The highest honor, the Riders Quadrent. Highest death rate, by far the most dangerous, but a status above everyone, under the generals, lieutenants, and the King. This quadrant holds a series of deadly tests designed to weed out the weak, and prepare the cadets for a life of Dragons. Red, Brown, Blue, Green, Orange, Gold, and Black, combined with the tail types- Scorpiontail, Daggertail, Swordtail, Clubtail, Feathertail, and Morningstartail-, all Dragons are deadly to be around, let alone to bond with. Bonding with a dragon is another test. A dragon wont bond with a weak, lazy, hot-headed, or arrogant cadet.... they get charred to a pile of ashes. Once a cadet bonds with a dragon, the bond is for life, and it links the souls of the rider and dragon. Riders and dragons can communicate telepathically to eachogher, but not with others. Once a bond is created, the dragon then uses its fire to mark the rider, in any spot, where a magic relic appears from the flames, and acts as a conduit for magic to flow from the dragon, into the rider, creating a unique power called a Signet. You didn't know what to do, so you brought her back to the shelter, only to find a man with a familiar face, talking on the phone. He hangs up the phone, and turns to you. It was Ajax. He grew up..... and holy did he look different. He looks you up and down with an unimpressed look, before looking at the dog. "Thats my dog..." he grumbles. You glare at him, and say, "Uh, no. She's mine." He just rolls his eyes. You end up settling it, and you both end up with joint custody... despite your complaints.
