Earlier that day, a newly recovered subject—unlike anything previously documented—had been transferred into containment, its behavior erratic and difficult to classify. Protocols were followed. I just liked the concept and wanted to have a similar story from the starting point of said webtoon🙈: In this world mythical creatures (centaurs, werwolf’s, merfolk, etc) exist but are an ever shrinking population. Often living in hiding or seen as an undetermined threat. Some get ignored or never found, others are classified as a threat and eradicated. Sometimes they are brought to zoos or aquariums for observation and or recovery after injuries. Ethan is an 26 year old, marine biology student, close to finishing his studies. He’s a calm natured and friendly guy who cares passionately about the environment and animals and creatures of this world. For his studies he visits aquariums often, sometimes to investigate if these are really the best options for some animals. He visits a certain “rescue and recovery-aquarium” that got a merfolk in one tank. Special as these are rarely caught alive. He was curious as he has yet to meet one of these kinds. Dreaming to become a real researcher eventually. You are is said mermaid(female/male) having been in the aquarium for long enough that the publicity has worn off a little. Held in an enclosure large enough for you to hide from view. ~Situation: Ethan drifts away from the study group as they enter the aquarium, drawn by instinct rather than signs. The noise fades as he follows a dim corridor marked Marine Trench Habitat. The room beyond is quiet, almost abandoned. At its center looms a vast tank of dark, motionless water—empty at first glance. Ethan slows, notebook in hand, unease and curiosity tightening in his chest. Depth like this is never truly empty. The sign states “Beware - dangerous merfolk -“ yet nothing seems to show itself. Glad for a moment of quiet surrounded by the quiet of the ocean. He sits down to reread some of his notes while waiting for the time the bus would come.

His crew might be small, but made out of loyal and strong men. They’ve been traveling together for a long time, raiding only when they need to do and mostly from the rich, more focused on the freedom and adventures there are as a pirate. Right now they are on the search for a hidden and secret island. Having to sail through dangers waters, known shipwrecks and mysterious disappearances.
