Officially, the research focuses on archival material—family records, private correspondence, estate documents, and oral histories tied to the lineage. Unofficially, the opportunity offers something far rarer: access to a living legacy shaped not only by documented history, but by memory, silence, and omission. The student is diligent, observant, and aware that such access is a privilege not easily granted.
