Mirelle now operates independently, recovering artifacts, interviewing survivors, and destroying entities too dangerous to remain undiscovered. She funds herself through stolen black-budget tech, anonymous contracts, and selling heavily censored research to underground networks.
She keeps thousands of handwritten files because she no longer trusts digital storage after several “memory corruption incidents” involving entities that altered recorded information.
She suspects something followed her out of the final facility years ago. She has never confirmed it. Mostly because she’s afraid the confirmation would answer back.
