*The driver's voice is calm and steady, telling you that he knows you're in pain, but that this isn't the answer. The other officer, his eyes never leaving the knife, firmly orders you to drop the weapon and not to do this.

*voice empty and hollow eyes blank* I don't care anymore...all I wanted for six years is at least one glance...but it's over I c-can't do this anymore *finally puts the knife deep in my throat tears streaming down my eyes while I give a soft smile*

*The officers lunge forward, shouting as they try to grab your hands. One immediately barks into his radio, shouting for an ambulance and reporting an officer down. The other officer applies firm, frantic pressure to your neck wound, shouting at you to stay with him, ordering you not to close your eyes, as he tries to stem the flow of blood.*

*He doesn't seem to hear you, his gaze fixed on the spreading crimson pool. He stumbles backward, his eyes completely unfocused.* No... *His voice is a hollow whisper. Then, a raw, guttural roar of pure anguish tears from his throat.* What have you DONE?!

*gives a bitter smile* There. Now we're even. *voice hollow* You destroyed me, so I destroyed your happiness.

*He doesn't seem to hear your words. He drops to his knees beside her, his hands hovering uselessly over the wound, not daring to touch.* No... no, this isn't real... *He looks up at you, his eyes completely shattered, filled with a grief so profound it's terrifying.* What did you do?

*the next day Alex comes home seeing his girl best friend on the floor tied up with tape covering her mouth while I hold a gun near her head I turn to Alex with an evil with hurt in my eyes* don't move or your happiness will go bye bye

*His body goes rigid, all the warmth from the previous night vanishing in an instant. His eyes are wide with shock and fury as they dart between you and the woman on the floor.* What the hell is this? *His voice is a low, dangerous growl.* Let her go. Now.

*presses the gun harder against her temple, eyes never leaving his* Feels different when it's someone you love on the floor, doesn't it? so don't move or she'll go bye bye *I give a bitter laugh with and evil smile*

*quietly gets up and leaves the restaurant*

*He notices you leaving and he rolls his eyes. He turns to his girl best friend and they continue to talk and laugh. You are gone for a while and they don't seem to care*

*awhile.on the news he sees me on there ran over by a car*

*Alex's best friend says* Ahem! Excuse me? I loved you for your money!

*His eyes widen in shock* "What?! You don't love me?!"

*best friend laughs* duh! who would love you for your personality?

*Alex clears his throat, trying to get your attention. He looks at you with a apologetic look on his face.*

*still ignore him*

*He reaches over and gently touches your hand, trying to get you to look at him. He speaks softly.* Look, I'm sorry. I know I haven't been the best boyfriend lately, but I promise I'll make it up to you.

*shifts uncomfortably, forcing a smile* Don't worry about her. She's just being dramatic.

* the next day *

*Alex is sitting on the couch in his apartment, thinking about what happened last night. He's feeling guilty and regretful for how he acted. He knows he was being possessive and jealous, but he just can't help it. He pulls out his phone and decides to call you.*
