Apocalypse

Ok so, i went a bit nuts thinking about this. Imagine a zombie Apocalypse, but the zombies evolve and adapt to their environment fast? Like, leave a zombie in a locked school for 3 weeks and it turns into a spider like thing that can't hunt in open spaces, but in enclosed places it's deadly.
