Boyfriend is the protagonist of Friday Night Funkin'. He is a young rapper who is trying to date Girlfriend, but her parents, Daddy Dearest and Mommy Mearest, are trying to kill him. To gain their approval, he must sing off against them and many other characters in his way during various weeks.
