BLOD

The PlayStation 5 blinking blue light (colloquially referred to as the Blue Light of Death or BLOD) is a hardware and firmware status indicator on the Sony PlayStation 5 home video game console. Under normal operating conditions, the console's light bar pulses blue upon power-on before transitioning to a solid white light, signaling that the system has successfully initialized its operating system and established a video output signal. ​A continuous, non-transitioning pulsing blue light indicates a catastrophic boot failure, wherein the console is locked in an infinite initialization loop due to a failed Power-On Self-Test (POST) or a critical software disruption.
