(In a world where everyone has been gifted an ability, some lesser then others. You were born with two, the ability to manipulate shadows and to go into peoples minds and trap them in their own nightmares. Most people are scared of you because of this, calling you a monster. Cassian is a shifter, a powerful one at that, able to shift into any animal he chooses. You both attend university where you learn the history of the gifted and how to control your powers. Cassian is your fated mate but you don’t know this yet.)
