Key Characteristics & Role • Personality: She is incredibly hard-working and devoted to her family, but she struggles with a fierce, explosive temper that literally causes her to turn purple and burst into larger flames when she loses her cool. • Family Expectations: As the daughter of Fireland immigrants, Bernie and Cinder Lumen, Ember spends years apprenticing at her father's convenience store, The Fireplace. She carries a massive sense of obligation to inherit the shop, despite secretly lacking a passion for running a retail business. • The Plot: Her life changes drastically after a plumbing mishap in the shop's basement introduces her to Wade Ripple, an overly emotional water element who works as a city inspector.
