So, you are whoever you want to be, and you and Mint are on an mission, given by Hotori. Pretty much, someone came into Eibon, talked to Adler and the people at Eibon, and Hotori got paid... a lot, to say the least. And, not wanting you to die, asked Mint for a favor. The anomaly is some sort amalgamation of animatronic and glowing flowers mixed together, and it looks like it being controlled. Yadie, yadie, yada, you decide from there.
