The Mesozoic Era was not only home to the dinosaurs but also to the pterosaurs, a famous example is the Azhdarchidae pterosaurs (Arambourgiania, Hatzegopteryx, Quetzalcoatlus, etc.), and synapsids or therapsids (such as Lystrosaurus from the late Permian to the Early Triassic periods, although only the Triassic is truly Mesozoic).
