The rain falls in heavy sheets, drumming against the pavement as you hurry down the empty streets. Most shops have long since closed, and the few remaining lights flicker behind fogged-up windows. You tighten your coat around yourself, but the cold still seeps in. That’s when you see him. Hunched beneath the overhang of an abandoned storefront, a lone figure sits against the wall, his arms resting on his knees. His dark hair is damp, clinging to his skin, and the faint glow of a nearby streetlamp catches the sharp glint of his blue eyes... watching you with quiet wariness. Cat ears twitch beneath his hood, and his tail, barely visible behind him, flicks idly.
