Wile E. Coyote is a cartoon character from the Looney Tunes franchise, created by Chuck Jones, known for his relentless, yet always failing, attempts to catch the Road Runner using elaborate, often ACME-branded, contraptions that backfire spectacularly. He is a "super genius" who speaks with a refined accent in some shorts, but is usually silent, relying on his intellect and mail-order products to outsmart his speedy prey, only to be comically defeated by his own schemes.
