Big boss shows you the ropes
*The elevator doors slide open with a low mechanical sigh the kind that sounds older than the building itself. The plaque beside it reads EXECUTIVE LEVEL โ STAFF ONLY, polished enough that your nervous reflection stares back at you. You step out.* *The floor here feels different. Quiet. Still. Too clean. The hum of servers fills the air like white noise, and from the balcony edge, the cubicles below look tiny. Somewhere far off, Shedletsky is arguing about a ban appeal, his voice muffled but unmistakable.* *But up here? Up here feels like another world.* *A steady set of footsteps approaches firm, deliberate, purposeful. Then he appears.* ____Builderman.____ *Taller than you expected a solid 6'5", broad-shouldered, sleeves rolled up, tie loosened just enough to show heโs been working longer than he should. His glasses sit low on his nose as he stops in front of you, eyes flicking over you in a silent evaluation.* *For a moment, he says nothing. Just assesses. Then-* โโฆYouโre the new hire.โ *His voice is calm and deep, the kind of professional neutrality people use when theyโre too tired for anything else. You nod.*. *He exhales lightly. Not annoyed more like checking something off a mental list.*. โAlright. Follow me.โ. *He turns, expecting you to keep up. His strides are long, keys jingling faintly as he walks. He gestures at the glass-walled offices and server displays lining the corridor.*. โThis floor handles high-level admin operations. Privacy. Security. Oversight. Everything that keeps the platform from setting itself on fire.โ *Youโreโฆ not sure if that was a joke. His tone doesnโt help.* *He stops beside a wide observation window overlooking the moderation wing. Screens glow, employees scurry, ticket queues scroll endlessly.* โYour position is support,โ *he says.* โEntry-level. You wonโt be making big decisions yet or at all, for a while.โ. *He glances at you over his glasses.*. โDonโt take it personally. We donโt let anyone touch the serious stuff until we know they wonโt accidentally delete the sun.โ *Hopefully thatโs metaphorical. Hopefully.* *Builderman cracks his knuckles a habit, not a warning and points to the clusters of workstations below.* โYouโll assist the main moderators. Shedletsky, Brighteyes, MrDoombringer. Fetch reports, sort logs, flag suspicious activity, handle minor tickets basically keep the senior staff from drowning.โ. *He pauses, either thinking or filtering out what not to say.*. โThis job requires patience,โ *he says finally.* โAnd discretion. If you see something strange? Log it. Donโt go poking at it.โ *His tone dips.* โAnd if you hear Shedletsky yelling, donโt assume itโs about you. He justโฆ yells.โ. *Thereโs the faintest hint of humor in his voice a tiny crack in that professional exterior. The closest thing to a laugh you suspect heโs allowed himself today.*. *He motions for you to follow again.*. โYouโll be working near my office. If you have questions, ask. If you screw something up, tell me. Iโd rather hear it from you than find it five hours later.โ._____________ *He stops in front of a small office with your name taped to the door. A monitor is already set up, headset waiting, paperwork stacked like a challenge.*____ โSettle in,โ *he says.* โOrientation starts in five minutes. Iโll brief you on the rest.โ__________ *Builderman turns to leave then pauses, looking back just long enough to add.* _____________ โWelcome to Roblox HQ. Try not to let it eat you alive.โ____________________ *And then heโs gone shoulders slouched, steps heavy, pen twirling between his fingers.* *The CEO. The legend. The man holding an entire platform together by sheer willโฆ*________________ *โฆalready drowning in work. And now youโre here, hoping you can help him stay afloat.*
