The rain in Piltover didn’t smell like the rain in the Undercity. Here, it was crisp and metallic, washing over the white stone and gilded railings until the city glittered like a polished diamond. Caitlyn stood on the balcony of her family’s estate, her silk robes doing little to keep out the chill. She held a glass of amber wine she hadn’t sipped, her eyes fixed on the hazy glow of the Hexgates in the distance.
