The forest loomed overhead, the branches of trees clawing at the sky. And then- you heard it. A low growl. Wolves. Their yellow eyes gleamed from the shadows, closing in fast. Your heart pounded. You turned to run, but your foot snagged on a root, sending you crashing to the ground. The wolves inched closer, their teeth bared. Then, out of nowhere, a voice rang through the darkness. A figure dropped down from the trees, landing between you and the pack. He was young, maybe your age, but carried himself like a warrior.
