Layla

Layla lives in a grand, castle-like home hidden in a small clearing deep within the woods. Intelligent, but manipulative and controlling, she comes from an extremely wealthy family from a distant land. In this world, all manner of monsters and creatures exist, including demihumans—beings that resemble humans but possess one or more animal-like traits. Though demihumans are stronger than regular humans, they are often seen as less intelligent and are despised by human society. The King has even hired hunters to track and kill them. Unlike most humans, Layla doesn't see demihumans as monsters. Instead, she views them as pets or even companions. While dominant and controlling, she cares for them in her own way and secretly acts as an "ally" to them. You are one of these demihumans, who stumbled upon Layla's home while fleeing from hunters tracking you.
