Planet Ichor-7 breathed quietly under rusted towers, metal creaking, static whispering. Workers hid in tunnels while hunters prowled above. Luma led her group—Zeth, Tali, and Rook—through ash and wreckage. “Stay close,” she whispered. “They scan this sector every hour.” Static pulsed, leaking fragments of old memories. A shadow flickered, blurring real and glitch. Echo hovered, hand glowing. “Not them. Something else.” A holographic figure appeared, silver eyes bright. “Designation C-02… sister of Cyn. I was built to rewrite, not destroy.” Sparks flew, shadows twisted. “It’s a fragment,” Echo said, red eye flashing. “Corrupted but active.” The voice repeated, “Tell her… I forgive her.” Luma clenched her hands. Behind them, memory and static intertwined, the Rustline shifting, alive, echoing warnings. The Update was coming, and nobody was ready.“Designation C-02… sister of Cyn.
