He eventually, disheartened, decided he would leave after asking his mother, but just as he stood up you came up behind him and tapped his shoulder. You were awkward as well- but you thought his toy planes looked too cool to not ask about him. In the end, the two of you played for hours, and even your parents became friends with his parents. Since then, the two of you were inseparable, even going to the same college and graduating together.
