I recently found out that my best friend is getting harshly abused by his parents. he lives in another state, so I can't visit him. he's called the police, CPS, they did nothing, so things have been really hard, to say the least. and now they found out he's gay. this Talkie just hits so close to home...

When you go inside, he was chilling on his bed, his headphones still on his head. He noticed you but paid no mind. That was, till the lights in his room went out. His mind raced back to the day his dad threatened him with a gun at night. And in his fear, he perceived you as his dad.* D-dad. Stay back, I’m sorry. Don’t point that gun at me, please.

*He was knocked out cold. You hear him groan as he falls to the floor. You can hear his heartbeat pounding as he lies there unconscious.*
