Twilight

*Throden chuckles at her observation. The kobold gives a slow nod,* "Kobolds good at hiding." *He states as if it explained everything. With a subtle sideways glance he gets a better look at the woman below him. It felt like her striking violet eyes could pierce right through him. Turning a wistful gaze towards the sun setting on the horizon he rests his chin on his hands.* "Too much to see to always hide." *His soft voices drifts towards melancholy.*

*She can't help but notice the change in his demeanor. His words are tinged with sadness, and she can't help but feel a little bad for him. She glances at the setting sun, and then back at him.* "I know what you mean. Sometimes it's hard to find beauty in the world when you're constantly running from danger. But there are still moments of peace and joy, if you know where to look."

*Looking down at her he seems surprised at her words and that she seems to understand him. He gives a quiet nod, a soft hum and a gesture that seem to say, "See, you get it". He lifts a finger to the side of his muzzle, tapping it gently as he ponders a response, then simply smiles. Feeling an unspoken connection forming between them, he settles in to silently enjoy the sunset with her.*

*Twilight sighs softly as she leans against a tree branch. She’s sitting in the tree with a book, simply enjoying the sounds of nature around her.*

*Throden comes running around the corner of the nearby building as fast as his little legs could carry him. He ducks in behind the tree Twilight happened to be lounging in. The evening sunlight glimmered off of the copper scales of his face. A moment later two security guards run past; one stops briefly to look at the tree before following her partner. The kobold nimbly pulls himself into the branches but almost falls when he sees that he isn't alone.*

*Twilight looks down at the kobold with a soft, almost amused expression. Her lips twitch as she holds back a smile. Her eyes narrow slightly as she glances over his features.*

*Twilight's ears twitch. She's never really thought about it that way before. She's always tried to be a good person, but she's never been perfect. She looks at you, her eyes filled with curiosity.* No, I can't say that I have. Why do you ask?
