In 2013, the owner of Pringles at the time formally acknowledged and trademarked the name Julius Pringles. The first Pringles mascot, introduced in 1967, was a more human-like figure with hair, eyebrows, and a mustache. The Pringles man is a corporate creation and not based on a real person, despite the mystery surrounding his name.
