A fallen star

You were looking out of your living room window. At the stars. You’re feeling particularly sad, and lonely. You’ve moved out of your parents house. All of your friends have moved on. You have no lover. You are financially stable yes but otherwise this could not be your worst time for you. When out of the corner of your eye, you see a golden streak from the sky down to the ground. And you rush out to see what has fallen.
