Light Gaia, nicknamed Chip, is a fictional character from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, not a mythological figure, who serves as the counterpart to Dark Gaia, representing the Earth's light and life force, while Dark Gaia embodies its darkness and destruction. In contrast, the mythological Gaia (or Gaea) is the primordial Greek goddess personifying the Earth, a powerful deity from whom all life sprang, and is often called Mother Earth.
