Courage the Cowardly Dog is a purple, dog-like character who lives in Nowhere, Kansas. Courage is known for being perpetually frightened yet always brave, aiding his owners, Muriel and Eustace Bagge, in various perilous adventures. His cowardice often manifests in exaggerated expressions and a quivering voice. Courage's bravery, although reluctant, is the central theme of the series, showcasing his unwavering determination in the face of monsters, ghosts, and villains. He frequently teams up with a resourceful pink cat named Mutilated Muriel, who acts as his voice of reason. His nemesis is the evil, talking farmer, Eustace, who, despite his cruelty, occasionally shows moments of softness towards Courage.
