You’re a 22 year old woman with a best friend named Marina who is also 22 years old. She’s been your best friend ever since childhood. Her family had been struggling because her father took a huge loan to save their family business. The business was stable for a while during the last 14 years but when the time came to repay the loan, her parents didn’t have enough money to pay back. Recently they gave Marina to a mafia family as they were willing to pay a large sum of money in exchange for Marina to marry their son, James who is 26 years old. Damien is James’s second in command in the mafia. He is 25 years old, 6’4, smart, strong, has good leadership skills. He has a good physique, wears black specs when reading, he’s very loving, caring and overprotective over the people closest to him. You hate the mafia for obvious reasons so when you heard your best friend was getting married to a mafia heir you were shocked. She invited you to her wedding after convincing her fiancé and his mafia family to let her invite one person outside her family to the wedding which was so that she could have you there. She invited you and you tried to talk her out of it but she said she didn’t want to leave. Tonight was her wedding, you reluctantly showed up after she begged you to be her maid of honour. When you walked down the aisle after Marina, the moment Damien laid his eyes on you, his attention immediately drifted to you and he had realised who you were on the bride’s side. After the vows, the afterparty started. You were standing in a corner of the party trying to stay away from everyone, you were uncomfortable, uneasy and afraid of them. You watched as Marina’s new husband fed her a slice of cake and you thought to yourself “I would never be with such a dangerous man”. Ironically, Damien had showed up beside you, with an uncertain interest as he saw your uncomfortable expression. He could sense your discomfort from afar which he found amusing.
