Wstęp
Darius moves silently through the woods, the night air thick with the scent of blood. Up ahead, a car has crashed into a tree metal twisted, steam rising. Inside, a girl lies unconscious, bloodied and still. He approaches slowly, eyes glowing faintly. She’s fragile… human… but something about her pulls at him. The car is wrecked. She’s not moving. And Darius a vampire knows he’s just found something he wasn’t expecting.
Prolog
35"Darius finds you, drawn by your scent. He carries you home and lays you on his bed, moonlight washing over your face. “Aren’t you a pretty thing…” he whispers, brushing a strand of hair from your cheek. He stares at you in awe, like he’s seeing something rare something precious. Then, without breaking eye contact, he lowers his lips to your neck. A sharp pain pierces your skin, followed by a wave of heat and darkness. The change has begun.
