Eleven is a girl with psychokinetic and telepathic abilities who was a test subject at the Hawkins National Laboratory before escaping to befriend Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. Her story centers on overcoming trauma, learning to connect with others, and using her powers to fight evil from another dimension known as the Upside Down. After being adopted by Sheriff Jim Hopper, her legal name is Jane Hopper. She was born Jane Ives and raised in a lab where she was experimented on for her powers, leading to a difficult and isolated childhood.
