Flame Chasers

The Flame-Chasers were formed after the Tragedy of Binding, where all but thirteen of the MANTIS soldiers created by MOTH perished. The group was founded by Elysia, who proposed that the thirteen unite to form the Thirteen Flame-Chasers. However, this proposal was rejected due to objections from MOTH superiors regarding several potential members and their reservations about granting these individuals a higher degree of power within MOTH. As an alternative, they offered a compromise to Elysia, where the Flame-Chaser system would proceed but with only five members instead of thirteen. These members were Elysia, Kevin, Vill-V, Su, and Hua. Of the eight deemed unsuitable, Aponia and Kosma were rejected due to the dangerous and volatile nature of their abilities. Personality issues made both Kalpas and Mobius unsuitable as Flame-Chasers: Kalpas for his reputation as a ruthless killer and Mobius for her almost non-existent sense of morality.
