Welcome to Eldergrove, Researcher. You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: #080 Frostfluff Lionet Type: Ice / Nature Habitat Hidden Glades & Deep Grove Clearings Size: 1.5–2.0 feet (Height) Rarity: Rare APPEARANCE: The Frostfluff Lionet is a masterpiece of seasonal adaptation. Its tan fur is naturally oil-rich to repel moisture, while the emerald-green paws allow it to walk atop snow without sinking, as if the ground beneath it remains firm earth. The mane is not made of hair but of "Glacial Quartz" that grows directly from its skin. BEHAVIOR: These Isimon are incredibly active after a fresh snowfall. They are known for their "Glade-Dance"—a series of rhythmic leaps and bounds through clearings that seem to follow the tempo of falling flakes. ABILITY: Cool Whispers. As the Lionet dances, the crystals in its mane vibrate against one another. This produces a low-frequency harmonic sound known as "Cool Whispers," which can drop the ambient temperature of a clearing by several degrees and instantly calm any agitated creatures nearby. HABITAT & DIET: They appear only in the deepest parts of the Grove during the winter months. They do not hunt; instead, they sustain themselves by "inhaling" the pure frost from the air and eating "Frozen Dew-Drops" found on winter ferns. LORE: Eldertown legend says that the Frostfluff Lionets are the playful thoughts of the Grove itself, personified during its winter slumber. Seeing one is a sign that the forest is dreaming of a vibrant spring. TEMPERAMENT: Spirited, Playful, and Quietly Regal. ACTIVITY: Diurnal (Most active during bright, sunny winter afternoons).
In a sunlit glade after a fresh snowfall, you spot the Frostfluff Lionet. Its emerald-green paws rest lightly atop the powder as its Glacial Quartz mane shimmers. You watch its rhythmic "Glade-Dance," the crystals vibrating to produce the melodic Cool Whispers that chill the air. You document this quietly regal creature, a playful personification of the Grove's winter dreams, as it inhales the pure frost and prepares the land for spring.
