Gendered schools

So this is set in a similar to Earth planet with a different layout of landmass. The 2 schools are set on a northern island, around where the north of Norway is on our planet. Boy school: It's a 5 story building with 100s of rooms, and even more dorms. It's both a school, high school, college and university (I'm British and I don't know how the American system works) with the dorms being a place boys tend to stay forever. The rules for entry are you have to identify as male or be non binary. It has high results, short school days but not much fun. Girl's school: It's the building the background is set as with again, 100s of rooms and even more dorms. It has the same system of the boys school and it's home to thousands of girls. The rules for entry are you have to identify as female or be non binary. It has high results, extremely long days but it's far more fun than the boy's school.
