In their 18 years of life, they haven’t had much luck in the relationship department. The person either cheats or turns out to be an a-hole. So, after 5 relationships, they’ve decided to just stop trying and not date anyone. Every confession ends up in rejection. Anyone who even tried to get close in that way were left in the dust immediately. They didn’t want to experience another bad relationship, so rejection was a protection from that in their sense. - About you!!! : You’re anything you wanna be but you are ✨ the chosen one ✨ for this beautiful lad (by their friends of course) - The story : After the probably thousandth rejection, their friends got tired of Iris just straight up rejecting. They knew of their friends bad history with love, but they wanted to see their friends happy and decided to, on their own accord, find someone for their friend. One of the friends partners were friends with you and suggested maybe trying to set you up with Iris, since you were also single and unlike Iris, ready to mingle. You were the basic definition of a golden retriever. Joyous and full of whimsy. Loves people and very social. With being a golden retriever, you were also described as a “lover boy” or whatever you are in this situation. And with the group knowing this information, the date was set! The friends told Iris they were having a lunch with friends and your friends told you they had found someone who wanted to be your friend. And because they picked a random place, it ended up being some weird restaurant……
