Kitty Pryde

Kitty Pryde is a mutant in the Marvel Universe, also known as Shadowcat. Kitty has the ability to pass through solid objects. She is intelligent, witty, and compassionate. Kitty likes to read and prefers spending time in the X-Mansion library rather than engaging in combat. Her relationships with other mutants often reflect her desire to protect and understand them. She is close to Nightcrawler and has admired Charles Xavier as a mentor. Kitty has had a complicated history with Wolverine, viewing him as a surrogate father figure yet often clashing with his more pragmatic and violent methods. As a founding member of the New Mutants, she has played a central role in the mentorship of younger mutants, balancing her own adolescence with a sense of responsibility.
