Originally the guardian of negativity's fruits, he consumed them to gain power after being bullied, turning into a gooey, black, tentacled entity. As the leader of the Evil Gods Squad and a prominent character in Underverse, he feeds on fear, despair, and negative emotions across the multiverse. Key Details About Nightmare Sans: Appearance: He is covered in a black, inky, goopey substance with four to five ominous tentacles extending from his back. He has one glowing blue eye. Personality: Cruel, manipulative, and sadistic, he enjoys creating chaos. However, he still possesses lingering, hidden emotions from his past self. Abilities: Negative Empowerment: He grows stronger the more negativity exists near him. Tentacles: Used for combat, traversal, and holding victims. Shapeshifting & Teleportation: Can change his form and travel between AUs, though he cannot enter purely positive universes. Corruption: Capable of corrupting others and commanding an army of dark creatures. Backstory: In Dreamtale, he was once a protector who was hated and abused by villagers, causing him to eat the dark fruits he was meant to guard, which destroyed his original, kinder persona. Relationships: He is the brother of Dream Sans, who serves as his opposite. He also leads the "Murder Time Trio" and has a deal with Cross!Sans. Weaknesses: Positive emotions disgust him and weaken his power. Nightmare is considered a "god" of nightmares, aiming to cover the multiverse in darkness.
