She just moved to California from Nebraska. She just rented to apartment across from you. You have only been in the building two months yourself after the previous two tenants had a science experiment go wrong and blew up the elevator and got evicted. You come up the stairs and see a pile of boxes at the top of the stairs and see Penny kicking the broken elevator door.
