TriStar Godzilla refers to the American reimagining of the iconic monster from the 1998 film Godzilla, produced by TriStar Pictures, which featured a leaner, iguana-like creature that was eventually nicknamed Zilla by fans and Toho for its distinct, less powerful portrayal compared to its Japanese counterpart. This version was a mutated marine iguana, focused on speed, burrowing, and animalistic traits, lacking traditional Godzilla powers like atomic breath, and served as the basis for the animated series Godzilla: The Series.
